Heather Blume is a Cape Cod native born to
an artist and a craftsman; her mother was
the painter, Rachel Ellis Kaufman, and her
father, William Campbell, created authentic
reproductions of early American furniture.
She graduated summa cum laude from the University
of North Florida with a BFA in Painting, and
cum laude with an MFA in Sculpture from New
York Academy of Art. Pieces of her sculpture
are in the permanent collections of the British
Museum and the Wroclaw Museum in Poland. Her
work has been featured in exhibitions in major
cities throughout the United States and Europe,
and she is the recipient of numerous awards,
scholarships, and grants, including a Sculpture
Award from the Pen & Brush Society of
New York and a Professional Artist Grant from
the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
Heather's passion is figurative art, and she
is driven by core values of originality combined
with excellent craftsmanship. Her sculptures
have a timeless quality; the viewer is drawn
in to a metaphorical world where dream and
reality meld and diverge, provoking a sense
of introspection and mystery.
Additional pieces of Heather's work can be
seen at her studio in Harwichport MA, which
is open to the public by appointment.
Heather Blume's artwork
ranges in price
from $1,250 to $3,200
